S'kool Music Chairman's Corner

Greetings!

As many of you may have noticed, the S’kool Music Foundation has recently created an entirely new look to our website.  Over the past number of months we have made extensive changes to the existing information, significant additions in content, and added several social networking sites to better convey our message and relate our progress.

The S’kool Music Foundation has just completed its seventh year of operation, and we continue to grow in every way. The activity this past year alone has been significant.  We provided the entertainment for the Venice Beach Summer Fest.  We marked our fifth year of partnership with the Orange County Children’s Book Festival by providing entertainment for that event.  And we provided entertainment for the Orange County Parenting Magazine’s Jamboree.
 
We have also been very active in developing new and exciting fundraising programs with our partners that will materially help us to reach our financial goals.  We are introducing the Donate and Save Program, and the VIP Card Program. Both programs reward donors by providing significant discounts at local and national participating merchants.  These programs are further described on the new Fundraising page.    

You will also notice the addition of You Tube, Facebook and Twitter links – social networks that will help us to communicate our activities in a more timely manner, and receive feedback from our viewers.  We are also creating a Blog to enhance the dialog with our friends and supporters.

I would also like to mention that our parent management company has changed from the Congressional District Programs, to the United Charities Programs effective January 2011.  This was an administrative change, and has not affected our operation or our mission.  But you will notice that that the Donation page reflects the new name of United Charities Programs.  Donations to  the S’kool Music Foundation are processed by United Charities, and placed in our account.   

And finally, we added a new Photos page that will allow us to display photos of the events we participated in or staged, soon after the event.
